The Katikkiro of Buganda Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga on 26th April 2023, at Bulange Mengo, inaugurated the new Board of Directors for K2 Telecom Limited.
The 10-member board with a diverse skills-set is chaired by Omuk. William Sekabembe, a renowned banking executive. The other members of the new Board are Omuk.Micheal K. Mwebe as the vice chairman, Omuk. Francis Buwule being the company secretary, Prince Crispin Jjunju, Omuk.Arthur Mawanda the Chief executive Officer, Dr. Rose Nakasi, Omuk.John Kitenda, Omuk. Swaib Kyanda.K, Omuk.David Moore Balaka and Omuk. Robert Kasozi as board members.
“The Board members bring a wealth of diverse perspective and expertise, positioning them to tackle new challenges and achieve significant accomplishments,” the Kingdom said in a statement, adding: “This appointment marks a new chapter to K2 Telecom,as the company looks to continue its growth and success under the guidance of a talented and experienced Board of Directors.”
The Katikiro said , the new board will “help the kingdom to deepen K2’s customer experience and growth as well as enhance the people’s love and confidence in the Kingdom and the King”.
K2 Telecom was launced in December 2012 and is the official Telecom company of Buganda Kingdom. The company offers a comprehesive suite of products and services including Zuula GPS Tracking & Fleet management and K2 Bulk SMS solutions
